Welcome to my website, thank you for being here.

I am a registered clinical psychologist with experience in public and private mental health settings. I have enjoyed many years working at the Department of Psychological Medicine at King Edward Memorial Hospital, as well as working at other inpatient, outpatient and community mental health services.  

 

My main areas of interest and experience are in perinatal mental health, women’s health, trauma and the well-being of health professionals. 

My therapeutic approach is warm, caring, and authentic. I work within a trauma-informed, evidence based, client-centred framework. I am passionate about the importance of reducing mental health problems as well as promoting mental health and well-being.

My intention is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and work collaboratively towards their mental health and well-being goals. 

I am trained in and draw on various therapeutic and theoretical frameworks including mindfulness-based therapy, body-oriented therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, internal family systems, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, trauma theory, neuroscience of trauma, clinical application of polyvagal theory, circle of security and cognitive behaviour therapy. 

 

I am a registered yoga teacher and certified Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) Facilitator.

I am trained in DBR, an emerging trauma psychotherapy.
